Research:

Awareness and use of Occupational Psychology within the  Not-for-Profit Sector
Meridian Wellbeing & Health undertook research in 2011-12 with support from the DOP@WORK Fund of the British Psychological Society’s Division of Occupational Psychology.

This research measures and promotes the use of occupational psychology within the not-for-profit sector. It raises awareness of the benefits and applications of Occupational Psychology within the voluntary sector. OP has applicability to the performance of organisations, employees and volunteers with a benefit of ultimately improving the services offered to service users and beneficiaries.
The third sector employs 137,000 people in Scotland alone, across 45,000 voluntary organisations in Scotland, with 1.2 million adults volunteering in Scotland in 2009 (SCVO).
